Sixth NRHA Rural Hospital CEO Certification cohort launches

[Kansas City, Mo.] – The National Rural Health Association’s (NRHA) Rural Hospital CEO Certification Program launched its sixth cohort in September 2022.

Leadership makes the difference. Today’s rural hospitals and clinics face tremendous challenges and uncertainty and are closing at an unprecedented rate. One out of three rural hospitals have been identified as “at risk,” and nearly half of rural hospital CEOs are first-time CEOs. Hospital CEO turnover continues to lead all industries, and when turnover occurs, the pool of qualified candidates is limited.

The September 2022 cohort consists of the following participants:

  • Angie Shaw – Eureka Springs Hospital, Eureka Springs, AR
  • Leslie Huitt – Bradley County Medical Center, Warren, AR
  • David Donahoo – Cascade Medical Center Hospital District, Cascade, ID
  • Raigan Brown – Memorial Hospital, Carthage, IL
  • Angela McConnachie – United Healthcare Partners/Deckerville Community Hospital, Marlette, MI
  • Natalie Ryder – Ascension, Dowagiac, MI
  • Lili Petricevic – Sheridan Community Hospital, Sheridan, MI
  • Paula Meskan – River’s Edge Hospital, Saint Peter, MN
  • Jason Chrisman – Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, Milan, MO
  • April Hansen – Mercy Hospital Carthage, Carthage, MO
  • Brian Lady – Concho County Hospital, Eden, TX
  • Mathew Slaybaugh – Garfield County Hospital, Pomeroy, WA
  • Jayd Keener – Garfield County Hospital, Pomeroy, WA
  • Kym Clift – Tri State Memorial Hospital, Clarkston, WA
  • Randy Barymon – St. Bernards Fiver Rivers, Pocahontas, AR
  • Megan Heath – Gordon Memorial Hospital, Gorden, NE
  • Kelly Jefferson – OSF St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group, Escanaba, MI
  • Zachary D’Argonne – HealthONE, Denver, CO
